  • The Functional Medicine Health Care Model (FM) realizes every individual is different: one condition could develop from a variety of causes and, likewise, one cause may manifest in a variety of different conditions.

    It’s not about just another diet or just another pill. It focuses on discovering and treating the root cause of illness and allowing your body space to heal.

    FM is based on some basic principles, as illustrated by the Functional Medicine Tree.

    • Believes disease doesn’t exist, but rather states of imbalance within the body’s systems

    • Understands each person is unique and is treated based on individual biology, environment, and lifestyle

    • Looks at all seven body systems to determine where dysfunction might be occurring

    • Seeks to find and treat root causes rather than symptoms

    • Treats each person from a holistic perspective, addressing body, mind, and spirit

  • If you’re overwhelmed with all of the information out there and need help focusing on how to move forward to create a better way of being in your body and in your life, having a good coach can help you access your inner wisdom to clarify the change you’re looking for and empower you to reach your goals.

    Don’t be surprised if after the first few months you notice the following:

    You’re spending less on money on doctor visits. Initially you might be wondering about spending money for coaching or homeopathic consultations, but think of the fees as an investment. Before long, you’ll be spending less on doctors’ visits and unhealthy habits that add up over time.

    Less stress. Getting a handle on your health and wellness without all the pressure of following the latest fads will reduce guilt and frustration and increase your motivation.

    More confidence. The fact that you’re feeling great will emanate from inside out, shining light on a happier, healthier, more vibrant you, and make you passionate bout health and wellness.

  • Emphasis is placed on all topics that can promote mental well-being, healthy mindsets, and

    sustainable changes. Some of the topics could include:

  • Discovery calls are virtual on Zoom, or via telephone. This is a time for us to connect and chat freely about what you’re seeking help with. It provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other briefly and see if working together is the right fit and for questions to be answered.

  • Coaching sessions are also virtual over Zoom or via telephone.

    Prior to the initial session, you will complete an intake form. The initial session is about 60-90 minutes. We will discuss the information on your intake form and clarify your goals. We begin in the very first session to work together on your goals and strategies to best support your vision.

    Follow-up sessions are 30-45 minutes.

  • Sessions are virtual over Zoom or via telephone.

    Prior to the initial session, you will complete a health intake form. The initial session is about 90 minutes. We will discuss the information on your intake form and clarify your goals. We begin in the very first session to work together on your goals and strategies to best support your health.

    Follow-up sessions are 45-60 minutes.
